We are truly amazed at the results we have achieved with Ingrid’s assistance! We had a cat who we were unsure if she would accept a new kitten and when we brought the kitten home our resident cat was growling, hissing, and diving at the kitten’s feet under the door where we, at first, kept the kitten. We were so fearful of how the interaction might go that we immediately hired Ingrid to help us. She came out to our home and assessed our situation and created a plan right away. We began working on ‘cat training sessions’ daily and worked our way up in steps of increasing time spent together with less barriers to one another. We started with food across baby gates and we ended up with two cats who are now friends. Our process took 4 months and we added medication and altered that several times until we felt like we got it right. We used a harness and a leash at times as well. We worked hard and Ingrid knew what to do every step of the way and she could handle and had an answer for every problem and issue I brought to her (and there were a lot!) including my own fear at times of moving on to the next step. We decided to switch our vet to Dr. Globerman at Paws Whiskers and Claws. We found that our resident cat had urinary crystals and we had to treat that, which Ingrid helped us with that process too. She also educated us greatly on cat food and how to make the right decisions in that department. She educated us on foraging and cat toys and scratching posts that we never would have known about. Using these tools also greatly helped us on our path. She was the most knowledgeable person about every aspect of cat behavior that I ever could have imagined. She is an absolute genius and has created our ability to now live with our cats completely integrated and who are friends. We were not sure we would ever see the day but only with her help and encouragement to be patient and hang in there with the process could the integration have occurred. She was always a phone call or email/text away and would go out of her way to make herself available to help. We always knew she would help us and in a situation such as this, she truly was ‘our person.’ I cannot speak highly enough of Ingrid and her cat skills. I am so incredibly grateful to have had her help us. We were considering having to re-home one of our cats or live with them living separately in our home and these were both not options that were going to be ‘happy’ but now we can be truly happy as with Ingrid’s help we have a happy integrated cat family! We never could have done it without her!
